How to Register for Accommodations 

All CUNY students seeking accommodations must register through . As a new student to CCNY, the Access/Ability Center will engage in an interactive process with you to determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations as well as other CCNY services that may be helpful. The interactive process means that your Access Specialist will work with you to determine appropriate accommodations to provide access to your program and education.  

Through this process, AAC will: 

• Request evidence, including your self-report and documentation from other parties, related to your request to understand how your condition impacts your functioning, especially in academic settings. 

• Identify and offer potential accommodations that will provide equal access to your program 

• Provide you a simple, easy method to notify your instructors of your approved accommodations 

• Work with you every semester to coordinate your accommodation.  

Note that you must engage with the Access/Ability Center to start this process. It cannot be done without your permission.
