How to Apply?

In order to be considered for admission to CCNY, your first step is to submit the CUNY Application and submit all required materials directly to CUNY.

Admissions Review

º£½ÇÉçÇø is looking for talented students who are eager to engage with a diverse community of students and contribute meaningfully to the city itself. Our admissions review focuses on identifying your academic strengths as they relate to your intended major, and we will be looking for the following:

• Overall academic average (GPA)
• Performance in core academic subjects such as math, English and science.
• SAT or ACT scores (if submitted)

You may also submit supporting materials if you believe that they will enhance your application. Selective programs may have additional requirements, as listed below.

The SEEK Program

The SEEK Program is an educational opportunity program designed to provide support to students who demonstrate academic and economic eligibility. If you believe that you are eligible for SEEK, be sure to submit your Financial Aid application early! Before being admitted to SEEK, we’ll invite you to an information session and ask you to verify your economic eligibility. Both steps are required for final admission into the program.

After you Apply

We encourage you to check your application status regularly to confirm that all application materials have been received. To check on your application status, log into CUNYFirst.

Your Admission to CCNY

Once a decision is made on your application, you’ll receive an email from us with next steps, and your offer will also display in CUNYfirst. We encourage all admitted students to log into their MyCity page, a portal that will outline next enrollment steps. If you choose to enroll at CCNY, here are some of the items you’ll need to do:

• Accept our offer of admission and pay commitment deposit fee (if required)
• Upload immunization records
• Schedule advising appointment
• Register for classes
• Attend Orientation

Earning Credit through AP, IB and College Coursework

Many of our current students take courses in high school that give them credit at City College. If you have taken coursework that would make you eligible to earn credit at City College, be sure to forward that information to us directly.
