As of tomorrow, May 1, 2024, and until further notice, all City College classes will be held remotely and all College functions will move online. Campus buildings will be closed to everyone except essential personnel, as defined by supervisors in each area. Additional information is available here.
As Spring Break comes to an end, I write to update you on tightened security for entering buildings on campus as a result of the encampment setup on the Quad. Only City College faculty, staff, students and named guests will be allowed inside campus buildings. CCNY faculty, staff and students will be required to show a valid CCNY ID at the door. If your current ID does not have a 2024 validation sticker, you will need to get one. Stickers are available at the OneStop and/or the ID office in NAC 1/206. Anyone expecting a visit from a guest will need to leave the guest鈥檚 name with鈥 Read More 禄
Dear Campus Community,
I write today with a brief update on on-campus activities that have taken place over the last several days. Just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, a group of demonstrators calling themselves the 鈥淐UNY Gaza Solidarity Encampment鈥 set up a tent encampment on our quad. Although they are sited at the CCNY campus, most of their demands are directed at the University. The demonstrators appear to be made up of students, faculty and staff from City College and across the CUNY system and a sizable contingent that is not affiliated with any CUNY campus.

Dear Members of the Campus Community,
I invite you to join us today, April 2nd, at 1pm in the Steinman lobby for a memorial gathering in honor of Professor David Rumschitzki.
For more than four decades, David was an active member of our campus community who left an indelible impact in the lives of his students and colleagues. We will be joined by members of his immediate family in remembering all the qualities that made him irreplaceable.
At a later date, we will plant a tree on the lawn of Shepard Hall to honor David's memory, commemorate his contributions and to serve as an鈥 Read More 禄

Hello Campus Community,
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand have secured $1.5 million in the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations package to boost skills-based workforce development at 海角社区 situated Rangel Infrastructure Workforce Development Initiative. Dear Members of the Campus Community,
I hope this note finds you well and you are settling in for our spring semester.

The Student town hall meeting will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 12:30pm. The Faculty/Staff town hall is now scheduled for Thursday, April 11 at 12:30pm. Both meetings will be in Marshak Lecture Hall 3 and will be in-person only. A鈥 Read More 禄

Dear Campus Community,
I have recently been reminded that our holiday party corresponds with the first day of Hanukkah, and I want to ensure that Jewish members of our faculty are not in a position of choosing between a campus celebration and family obligations. Because of that, we are moving the Holiday Party to December 14th. We will gather at 5pm.
Sincerely,
Vince Boudreau
President
