Two colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY) have launched a new institute to train and support social justice leaders nationally. The institute responds to growing demand for programs focused on how to build, use, and share power to achieve social change. Sixty-eight years after her graduation as one of the few women in her field, City College of New York alumna Dorothy Schnabel is celebrating induction into Tau Beta Pi (TBP), the oldest engineering honor society in the country. Four Folded Square Alphabet Letters from the Fletcher Benton: The Alphabet series are on permanent display at ��������’s south campus. Known as one of America’s leading sculptors, the late artist’s style consisted of cutting, folding and realigning two-dimensional sheets of steel into three-dimensional objects that seem to defy gravity. Gifted to the college in 2013 by Eva Haller, who attended City College from 1954-1955, and her husband Dr. Yoel Haller, the letters spell out CCNY and were estimated to be worth $500,000 at the time. The CCNY-MSK Partnership, a partnership between �������� and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is hosting a Harlem Community Health Expo. The expo is on Saturday, April 23 from 1-5 p.m. and includes health information, cancer and dental screenings, COVID-19 information, nutritional information as well as health and wellness classes.
