CCNY students immerse in new arts internship program

Six City College of New York students intern at some of New York City鈥檚 finest arts and cultural institutions for 24 weeks throughout the academic year as part of CUNY Cultural Service Corps, a new paid internship program. The launch of this program promotes diversity within the city of New York鈥檚 cultural sector and will introduce each student to different departments within their internship sites: curatorial, development, education, special events and more. From a RoofPod garden atop the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture building at 海角社区 comes a bumper harvest for the community to partake in. 海角社区鈥檚 M.F.A. in film graduate, Yvonne Ng, is the winner of this year鈥檚 Student Academy Awards 庐 competition for her short film, 鈥淐loud Kumo.鈥 As a winner, Ng鈥檚 short film is eligible to compete for the 2016 Oscars 庐 in either the Documentary Short Subject, Animated Short Film or Live Action Short Film categories. CCNY wins $15.5 million NOAA grant to produce mostly minority STEM scientists
