The Grove School of Engineering

  • Professorship of Civil Engineering established in 1853
  • Known as School of Technology in June 1919
  • Known as School of Engineering and Architecture in 1962
  • Renamed School of Engineering in 1968
  • Renamed to its current name in 2005.

School of Nursing

  • Established in Mount Sinai Hospital in 1881
  • First class admitted at City College in 1968
  • Closed September 1, 1997

School of Business and Public/Civic Administration

  • Renamed Bernard M. Baruch in 1953
  • Separated from the College in 1968.

School of Education

The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture

  • Changed to its current name in the spring of 2009

Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education

  • Center of Biomedical Education (1973) to Sophie Davis Center for Biomedical Education becomes a School in 1978
  • Was renamed CUNY School of Medicine in 2016.

Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education

  • Renamed in 2009

Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership
