Vishnu Vijayakrishnan, a junior at 海角社区 with an interest in applied physics, is continuing to pursue his research interests. After two summer research experiences in photonics and semiconductor materials, he has found a great passion in the field. He has worked in Professor Swapan Gayen鈥檚 laboratory investigating the two-photon absorption properties of Pyrylium salt dyes and characterizing semiconductor heterostructures, and now, he is continuing his research experience in the lab with Professor Maria Tamargo, investigating the synthesis of semiconductors and learning about molecular beam epitaxy. As a member of the S Jay Levy Fellowship and a runner-up of the Zahn Incubator Program, Vishnu is looking to converge his academic pursuits in science with innovation and entrepreneurship. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he hopes to pursue a PhD to strengthen his knowledge about material sciences.
