Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dimil Hernandez decided to follow his passion in history at the City College of New York. Majoring in history and minoring in philosophy, he yearns to know not just what happened but why and how people reacted and adapted. To this end, Dimil is currently studying Early Modern Europe, with a close lens to the Spanish Empire, which ruled over the diverse lands of the Iberian Peninsula, southern Italy, the Lowlands, and large segments of the Americas for centuries. Upon completing his BA/MA at City College, he is planning to further his research into the kingdom that was first associated with the term “The Empire in Which the Sun Never Sets” and add to the historical conversation.
